BE CAUTIOUS if attempting yourself!!!!!!
2 years ago my husband attempted to rid a section of our mulch that was near a pine tree of what he thought was just a typical bunch of yellow jackets. He even tried to eliminate them at sunset when they're less active. They attacked him and he received numerous stings on his legs...to make a long story short, he had a terrible reaction and was sick for 6 days with severe pain and both legs swelled up and he was put on antibiotic. He STILL has scars on both legs! We had professionals come out to exterminate them and upon capturing some of them, they concluded that they were some sort of German yellow jacket and that with multiple stings could be fatal. WHEN IN DOUBT, CALL A PRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If i'm bit for ultimate the door to my domicile, it potential warfare. After studying some solutions concerning using spray foam, i wanting to attempt it instead of lengthy determination spray. My situation change right into a shipping gadget, they were 10-12ft. off the floor. answer - a fishing pole and aquarium hose. They thrive in the sunlight, so if you're going to do anything (using a can of spray) make it very early morning or early evening or better yet wait for an overcast or rainy day. They're very sluggish and slow to respond then.
I have found the product "Tilex" (cleaning fluids) works well on bugs in general. I have used on 2 yellow jacket that came into my house.

There is a yellow jacket, wasp trap that they sell at Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes, if you have any of those stores near you. You put raw hamburger in them. Cost about ten bucks and work good

The spray mentioned is usually called HORNET spray. Try a blast at a harmless target so you know what it acts like, but do NOT use it all up practicing.
I have used several of the methods described in answers, and that hornet spray works best.

The perfect solution.... Turn on the "HOT" water in your kitchen sink, get a container/large glass, put some "DISH SOAP" in your glass, fill with "HOT" water.... go to them, and throw the soapy water on the bees... hive and all... They will die... It worked for me...
