Its the Edmund Hillary defense:

Its unfortunately, hormonal and part of the mating instinct. I even found myself having romantic thoughts over a guy I hung out with who I had very little in common with and was 30 years older than me. Why? Because he was there. He was old and wise enough to tell me to take it down a notch.

Almost ev ery male you sepnd a significant amount of time with will set off these hormones. The good news is, once you recognize it for what it is, it's easy enough to fantasize and feel the same way about someone else.

Maybe find some female friends to balance you out.

You enjoy the closeness and security that your guy friends give you and you want that in a relationship as well, and more often than not it ends badly, as you have said. What was the reaction of the guy friend you kissed drunkenly? You never said.

Because you confuse friendship with lust. Your better off to stop an think rather have them as lifew long friends than a fling an lose them for ever.

Would you rather fall for your enemies or people you didn't like ?

If things work out in your love life then your partner will be your best friend.

I think you are probably mis-interpreting friendliness and kindness from these guys as a come-on.
You need to recognise the difference between friendliness and flirtiness.
