I love that movie and I am a romantic! So, here's my story. I met my EX-HUSBAND in high school we married for almost 7 years. I broke off the relationship because he turned to drugs and destroyed our family. I never thought I wanted to be married again, I believed in one true love and being married once and once only. Since that didn't work I believed I would never marry again. However, I found that I really liked dating and so I posted an ad on Matchdoctor.com I met a lot of loser and some really sweet men that I had no attraction to. I had been talking on the net to one man for months and he had asked me to meet him at a beach party and gave me directions. I had a date and like some of the flakes he never showed up. So, I changed my clothes and drove 45 minutes to the beach party to suprise this guy. When I got there he had other girls there, but as soon as I pulled up he ran over to my truck, yelled my name and hugged me through my window. We struck up a conversation (which wasn't hard being that we had talked so much on the net and phone) and the other girls left because they were being ignored. It's been almost two years and we haven't stopped talking since. He wanted to come down the following weekend and visit me, I flipped knowing that I did not want a relationship, only a friend. He came down and we were never seperated again for more than 3 days, being that we lived an hour and a half apart that was a big deal. Then it came time for me to take my kids on a vacation for 3 weeks. I wasn't gone 4 days before he flew out to Colorado from California to met me. He missed me! We finished the trip together and we moved in together a few months later. We are planning our wedding April of 2008 because we are re-modeling our house and having a wedding at home. We are best of friends, I love his parents (that's important that you all get a long) my parents and friends and most importantly the kids adore him. It's been almost two years they just started calling him dad from time to time and I couldn't be happier. We have a wonderful relationship based on trust, faith, honesty, humor, partnership, parenting, and nuturing. I never thought I would find a man who took me chap stick at 1am (while I was working graveyards) because my lips were cracking. I never thought I would find a man who made it a point to hug and kiss and cuddle EVERYDAY! I never thought I would find a man to love my children the way a real father should. He is devoted to being a family man and a father his father was to him. He treats me like a princess (even though we are broke as hell LOL). Being treated like a princess because of the little things, not money. Like rubbing my head if I have a headache, making candle lit dinners, making me laugh until my stomach hurts on a regular basis, talking till sunrise when we both had to be at work at 7am, being there for all the school activities, supporting me while I go back to school full time to persue my dreams.
Ok.. so I'm really long winded. But the answer is yes! Yes you can find prince charming on the internet, yes he is out there! It could really work! My advise is to be very picky about the things you want out of a man. Leave some lee-way no one is perfect, but don't settle for anything less than the man you've dreamed off!

by the way , it's my favorite movie .... and yes , you can find ur soul mate on the internet , i mean i do know many people who got married this way but of course you shouldn't depend on just typing , u must see and talk to each other to make sure that the person you're dealing with is the same person who had been chatting with u coz u know there are some bored jerks who pretend to be Mr . perfect just to seduce the gurls online ,., u know what i mean ... so i would say that face to face contact is even more important and don't tell yourself that u r too young too love , i mean after all , love isn't controlled by age as long as it is moving in the right path ... don't be afraid to go out there and try new things coz life is nothing but great risks ... good luck

Love can find you anywhere, whether at school, the produce section of a supermarket, standing at the snack food line at the movies, and even on ther internet. My cousin met his wife in a medical chat room. I just attended the wedding of an absolutely adorable couple who met on-line. I also have a friend whose house was completely trashed by the wife he met on-line. Another on-line romance that I know of ended in police intervention and restraining orders. Bottom line, wherever you find love, it's a crapshoot.

What concerns me is that fact that you are so young. Don't be so concerned with finding a soulmate. Chances are you'll meet several great companions on your road to maturity and chances are you'll drift apart, blow apart, or decide to just be friends. You aren't who you are going to be yet. The mature, educated, contented-with-yourself person you will be someday is the one who will find a relationship that will stand the test of time

Haha!! I'm listening to that movie right now. Its about half an hour into it. I haven't ever found love. But I'm 17 and I'm not exactly searching for it right now. I'm too busy with Senior year and getting ready for college. I think you can find your soul mate anywhere. Online, while skydiving, on vacation. There is no limit when it comes to love. Its endless.

Here's a tip: STOP LOOKING. You have to be complete and feel comfortable in your own skin and know who you are before you bring someone else into your life.
Also, there are a lot of crazy people online, and you can never know everything about anyone from looking at any web page.
Cheers!

I think you should be thinking about college and graduating. But to answer your question, I think meeting someone from online is dangerous.

BW, I have, have gotten engaged, and go to meet face to face next month, after maybe 1,000 emails. I never believed in "soulmate," now, I do! I have one, why not believe?
