The only time I've actually heard him is when he hung up on Terry Gross on NPR. He certainly seemed like a pathetic cretin from that incident. So why are conservatives on his case now?? What gives?

He's just an entertainer, his whole act is BS and he gets paid well for it. The sad thing is the people who listen to him who aren't getting paid.

First i might ask your self to which different liberals you have been referring. Then i might say, of direction that's good that the IRS is checking into those 501 communities bobbing up like herpes on the RNC, yet you are able to no longer unmarried particular communities out. that isn't honest, and regrettably because of the fact the greater appropriate human beings we could desire to consistently play honest. otherwise what's the element?

The only want to really characterize Bill O'Reilly is as an expert at self-promotion. In most cases I think he is really taking a point of view that is in line with his philosophy though it is easy to see that during interviews he will often take a "devil's advocate" position and it is hard to tell what he really thinks.

I like the fact that he hung up on Terry Gross. She was better off sticking to musicians and such where she just sounded ignorant. Once she shows her bright yellow liberal streak I have to shut her off. O'Reilly is not about to let her control an interview!

Bill is his own man, he can think, and he can darn sure take care of himself - as he's shown so many times!

I'm sorry I missed the Terry Gross episode - Terry interviewing Bill must've been rich indeed, I'm sure! And I can certainly imagine Bill realizing he was wasting his time with such a lightweight.

Terry's at her very best when she's pandering to one of the cultural (i.e., not political) celebrities and has never done well with people who don't put up with the normal nonsense that goes on at NPR (or elsewhere, for that matter).

Her interview of Gene Simmons a few years ago went so poorly (leaving the little dear momentarily speechless more than once!) because she had an entire world of assumptions built up about Kiss and Simmons and the guy got so pissed off that he started baiting her. Needless to say, that kind of interchange did not play to her strengths.

Bill O'Reilly is NOT extreme. From watching his TV show and listening to him on the radio, I have found him to be fair and impartial. I am right wing as you know but Bill has had plenty negatives about the Bush administration. He also has had plenty negatives about the left wing. If you can stand obvious criticism of your political party when it is probably true, then you will think of Bill O'Reilly the same as I do.

Didn't know we were. I never liked Terry Gross, either, and I worked at a local NPR affiliate, actually the one she comes from.

Bill O'Reilly thinks for himself....he tends to be conservative but doesn't make up **** and takes responsibility for defending his own position.

Isn't he the one who always asks, "Who's looking down on you"?
I like Al Frank's description of him, "Liar".

Whatever he is, he's a benefit to America.
He is irritating at times, but he is sincere and not like liberals.
