I don't know if I consider myself a stud or not. Some people say I am. I don't like putting labels on myself. I dress "like a guy", I guess one could say, but I act pretty feminine if you ask me.
I like a new girl on campus, and everybody is saying that she's a stud, but I'm very attracted to her, but nervous about talking to her. Advice? Tips?

Yes, a relationship between any two people (whether stud-stud,fem-fem, stud-fem, white-black), can work if those two people work together and want the same thing. Also, another quick thing, I noticed that you're black and in the black lesbian community there is a lot of discrimination when a fem dates another fem, or a stud dates another stud. Sometimes fems and studs who date only each other like to say that their the "real lesbians", but a real lesbian is a woman who loves her woman whole-heartedly.People need to just get over themselves. I am a fem, and I am only attracted to and date fems and that's my choice. When I first realized I was gay, I knew that I liked fems but noticed that a lot of relationships were fem-stud. It discouraged me at first but that didn't stop me from seeking another fem because that's what I wanted in life.I also have heard a few studs say they would date another stud, so you never know. So, if you're feeling this girl and she is feeling you, do it. Life is too short to ot be happy. Good luck, God Bless, and stay proud!!!

Ok, i'm gonna be straight up with you.
I am a stud, and I dont do the stud+stud thing. I met this girl online and she told me she was femme and in her mind she really was a femme girl. But when I saw her she was just as butch as me and I was like Oh hell no! The girl you like may not be anything like me at all. But if she is a stud then there is a 99% chance that she doesnt do the stud+stud thing.
Thats just my opinion. I could be wrong.
Good Luck

definitely.
I've seen butch+ stud
stud+ stud. I know girls who are studs and prefer to date studs coz they have shades of both independence (found in butches) and sweetness (found in fems).
Help her with the necessities such as settling into the campus. ask her out on casual outings. keep things simple. Be yourself. when you know her better, you can be direct but at the same time show a bit of your tender side.
