i hate chevys but... the ss 454 will beat the rr by a full second

Chevelle, well I guess thats just because I'm a GM person. But it also depends on what hemi, if it is an original real hemi, it could be close, might depend on drive and how much work has been done, or who can hook up. If its a new hemi, the Chevelle wins hands down.

The chevelle would have the edge although it is close...the hemi had 425hp/490ft.lb,torque and did 13.5 at 106 in the quarter.the chevelle had 450hp/500 ft.lb.torque and did 13.1 at 107 in the quarter.Traction was a limiting factor and with modern tires/slicks the chevelle would probably have a greater edge with wider power output range as well as superior weight transfer from the 4 link rear suspension over leaves.

it all depends on the driver who gets the smoother shift and the better holeshot the driver plays a big part in racing you can have a car that is twice as fast as the other one and still lose the race because of the driver
