I have 2 daughters and I can honestly say there will NOT be one of these ridiculous, over paid, extravagant parties. This makes me sick. I love my girls very, very much and would do anything for them, so one of these parties would be a lesson on how not to throw away money. It teaches them no value except money is an object to be thrown around carelessly. This will not happen here. They can hate me all they want, but they'll learn a lesson, a very valuable one. Its a birthday. Its to be celebrated with friends and family. A time to rejoice on your accomplishments. Not how much daddy can spend to impress my friends and outdo all the other daddies or my social status will suffer. Too bad my lovely girls...your status is going down, but your daddy loves and you'll live through. Life is more than a party.

I've heard of Sweet 16 but not 15. Either way there's no way I'd ever spend that kind of money on a party.

if you are gonna be spending THAT kind of money, get her a car! I think its okay to throw her a party, but keep it simple or if you really want to go with a fancy/pricey looking type of party, there are a couple ways to go around it and still try to keep the cost down. but of course it depends on the kind of person the girl is. cause if she starts to get pushy about HER party, maybe she should pay for it herself...
