what can the stuff that comes from a wet battery do to you? its not battery acid is it? and if i just wipe it off will it be fine?

no...not a car battery...its regular double A batteries

The chemicals that leak from flashlight batteries are not particularly toxic; they include substances such as ammonium chloride. Just wash the glop off with soap and water. Be sure to clean the device the batteries were in, also, as the chemicals will cause corrosion to metal parts.

Man does that stuff hurt you. It's battery ACID. If it can get through the metal casing of a battery, it can go through you. Take no chances.

most likely your talking about a car battery, and it is acid. it can eat through metal. your lucky the acid in car batteries is diluted. wash off really thoroughly
