Sounds like you are drawing air in through your eustachian tube. Or you have a slightly perforated ear drum. Best to get the doctor to check it out as you should make sure exactly WHERE the air is flowing to and from. If it is the eustachian tube it is nothing to worry about and will settle back down to noramal. It is a tube that the ear uses like a drain into the back of the throat. If it is the ear drum then you need to let a professional take a look as it could lead to deafness if you make the hole bigger or get further infections. Best to get it looked at and then you can relax or worry.

That's got to be a wierd feeling
Chances are you're "breathing" via the eustation tube that's in your ear. Here's a diagram http://www.electoneonline.com/images/ear_diagram.gif
The eustation tube connects the ear to the mouth/sinus area. This is something I've never heard of actually, but it sounds unique.
I would suggest having your dr. take a look to make sure there is no major damage or a hole in that area that could pose a problem later on if not fixed.

Are you serious? It's just air being pushed out from your ear, usually this is a sign of a broken eardrum, your ear is not connected to your lungs, therefore you're not breathing. But I dare you to try to only breathe through your ear for about 1/2 hour, lets see what happens. lol

What makes you think you can breathe from your ear? They are part of your sinuses so they are connected to the same pathways that your nose and eyes are (ever seen people squirt milk out of their eyes?). You would not be able to get sufficient oxygen that way though.
