What is missing in your world, that would make living your life more fulfilling, would you find contentment if you had it?

The only thing missing in my world is winning the lotto with enough money to retire, my wife retire, our son have a trust fund set up for the rest of his life, a trust fund set up for my nephew, my neice, and my wife's sister retire. And we all be together for the rest of our lives traveling together and enjoying our lives together.

Back to your title question: YES! It is possible to fulfill a yearning or longing for something. This is how you do it; WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU WANT. Don't know what you want? Write down what you don't want. The WANTS will come as time goes along. Write down different things, constantly change and update your WANTS. Eventually you will have a lifetime list of everything you want to do. Does not matter if it appears unreachable. If everything was possible, there would be nothing to reach for.

Make others you care for part of these longings. For example I plan to take the entire family (above) to Hawaii for 4 weeks WHEN we win the lotto. Did not say IF! - I said WHEN!

The WHEN I do not know. I just know it will happen. Why? Because everything in life I wrote down that I wanted, so far, has come true. More things to go, and I am looking forward to all of them.

A few of the bests; marry a model. I did. Get an office with a window view; I did. Make a big paycheck; I did. Take lots of vacations with a lot of people; I do (see group above).

Hope this helps

Part of what makes us special is our yearnings. Seeking to satisfy them is the stuff of movies and books. Each of us has a yearning and a longing that likely never goes away and is never satisfied.
