ie. infomercials, tired reruns, reality tv?

I absolutely hate reality TV! What happen to the great comedies such as MASH? Most of the comedy sitcoms today have trashy content - completely inappropriate for family viewing.

It's summer, fella. Wait a couple weeks. There were some terrific shows on this summer though, i.e. The Closer.
Reality TV will not last long. The networks did it 'cause it was cheap. Give it up, guys. We're tired of it. Reruns are a fact of life and infomercials are garbage - you must be up late at night - watch the news - even if it is from earlier in the day.

Nope. I just don't watch it. I watch the few things I like (ie some history and archaeology documentaries, a few comedies etc) and ignore the inane rubbish!
I don't mind some of the re-runs. Especially the older comedies because it means I can watch them without having to buy them on DVD and it gives me something to watch. The reality TV and other rubbish I don't even know what's on in regards to those. But yes I do agree with you, TV is mostly full of rubbish!

Yes, its a bit exhausting. I have a high vocabulary and I'm intelligent, so a lot of the things on tv that appear to me as junk. (not to say I'm the smartest ding dong out there... but I just don't find things sometimes that appealing when it's all controversy. We have enough problems and war out there we do not need to make it completely domestic.) It's not really attractive to watch someone cuss another out due to the fact that they don't get along with their room mates or whatever. I found a cute show on tv though called the Muskratt Manor or whatever. I'd watch that show any day.

There is a lot of trash on TV like the stupid sitcoms, and the reality shows.
But, there is some really good stuff like:
Numbers
Criminal Minds
Law and Order
House
Bones
Grey's Anatomy
