You need to do some fabricating. There are many different types of lawn tractors. If you had one of the old Bolens that were made by FMC that would be a good start. You also need to think about the cooling. You need a way to get air to pass over the fins. I have seen them made for dragsters. Wheel Horse has some good tough models too. You need the older 50's and 60's models. I think I have seen some on eBay also. One that I had seen on eBay was a lawn tractor with a diesel engine.

When you figure it out, please let me know how you did it. That sounds pretty crazy. I like it. If it was a shaft drive motorcycle engine, that might make it easier. What if you use a 4 wheel ATV rear axle and then just use a chain? I think that would be the easiest way. Oh man, Now I want to try it.

Yea, but if you're going to hot rod that old John Deere garden tractor, a blown & injected Chevy small block would be waaaaaay more cool!
