If you know they'll be suspicious and jealous otherwise. Like say you got a new haircut so you can look professional at college--a place he already feels emotional about? So you say you did it for a job interview instead, as if the smaller reason wasn't "good enough." Dumb huh. But I've heard of people, otherwise reasonably intelligent people, doing that. Okay, not okay, somewhere in between?

To thy ownself, be true. The only person you have to impress is yourself. If this other person gets offended, so what, theyll get over it. Dont ever lie to cover up something you did for yourself in hopes to better yourself,or youll end up regretting your decision. You have your own life too besides a relationship life, and the only real person thats going to make you happy is you. Besides once you lie, you may have to do another to cover the first one and so forth. Not worth your integrity. Good luck

Dont start lying about little things, because what ends up happening is when ur partner finds out about the little lies, when it comes to something big they wont believe u cause they are use to it being a trend with u to lie about the little stuff .. so why not about the big stuff? ur word should be your bond and if ur willing to lose the respect of your word on little things, then it will only hurt u down the road even more..

With things that are so trivial.. even if the other person doesnt like it, its better to be just straight up and honest with them... your partner may not like the reason which is their perogative to do so.. but ur entitled to do what u feel is best for yourself, and if they base their friendship, or love on trivial things, then how on earth will u make it through the big things later on in life???

Tell the truth.. dont sell urself out for something so trivial..

It is never right to lie. If it is for legitimate reasons (such as u described) and your mate takes offense at it then he has serious trust issues and that is something that needs to be worked on by him otherwise, no matter what u say and do, he will always suspect the worst.

It is never a good idea to lie. What you did was so small that the truth is fine. If you will lie, you will steal, and neither is admirable.

Secondly, your haircut will be around a lot longer than he will.

Why would you lie about something so silly? Is the person you are with that controlling? If so, find someone else.

If you have to lie to someone, then they are not worth the time of day. Be honest, and if they have a problem, then it's just that, their problem. If you lie about yourself, you lie to yourself and you have the problem.

if you are doing things to make your self look and feel more confident about your self then you need to explain to no one , You do as you feel and don't worry about what will or might be said .Looking good is important and feeling good about is too.
