Captain Planet and the Planeteers!
I was just talking about it to my husband! I was remembering that it used the same background music and same style animation as The New Kids On the Block cartoon. He said they probably did that to save money since it was most likely the same production company that made both cartoons.
I actually did like the show even though I was already a teenager when it came out, and even though I supported their message, I thought their whole "save the earth" attitude was cheesy!

of course i remember. that show was the best! i really can't think of anything i didnt like back then. of course now i can see how corny it is but the show was sooo awesome back then. how could anyone dislike something about it. when captain planet came out it was awesome. and the stories were exciting. heck they even had a moral at the end and taught you how to save the earth.
why cant there be anymore shows like that now.

Yes, my daughter was talking about it just today.
Our Governor in Indiana Mitch Daniels has been trying to sell our state forests, a plot too far fetched for Captain Planet.

yes! it was on at 5:30 in the morning but now its not on! it was so cool tho! there was 5 kids and each of them had a ring that had like fire, water, wind, and when the combinded them, captain planet came to help, i loved that show and it also showed how kids could help the eearth in real life! it was AWESOME!!!!!

yes my son used to love that show and i did to.lol yeah it was a good show i liked it at the end when he taught the kids how to save the world . and i still have the video..hasn't been watched for a long time...lol

I loved Captain planet growing up!!!! My favorite would either by Ma-ti or Wheeler.

Poor animation, soggy Ted Turner/Jane Fonda propaganda about the enviroment.

I watched that show when I was younger and I Didn't like that mother nature woman but, I liked it when they showed their future selves.

oh that show was great, it's was cool, i liked it alto too bad it's not on anymore....loll. even the the song was great that they had for it.
