It does not just "peel off" unless it's a special wallpaper that does that. Usually it's a real PITA to take off.
The best way is to get some DIF and a paper tiger from Home Depot or somewhere like that, paint on and let it soak in. Put lots at the seams, those are the hardest to get up. You may be able to peel it off that way.
If that doesn't work and you want to spend a little more you can rent a wallpaper steamer, those work great and it WILL peel off.

The most careful method is steaming it off. You can rent a wallpaper-steamer from a tool-rental store---you assemble it, fill it with water, plug it in, and steam the paper loose from the wall so you can scrape it off. This is a messy job but you'll get any sort of wallpaper off safely.
Some people apply a chemical to loosen the paper, or "score" the paper with an art-razor knife to get it down. This can turn into even more time-consuming, difficult work. Steaming never fails, in the long run.

Rent a steamer at a tool store. The hot steam loosens the glue that's holding the paper to the wall, allowing it to peel off without damaging the surface beneath. You'll need some wide, flat scrapers to pry the paper off, too. Just run the steam over the paper slowly to allow the steam to penetrate and then scrape right after while it's still hot. Two people working together can get the paper off fastest.

nicely, i'm redesigning a house suitable now and not one of the fewer than solutions rather worked for me................ I had various wallpaper caught to the paper on the drywall............. Steamer......... welll it worked a touch. Steamer with the wallpaper remover stuff, i attempted all manufacturers with and the curler piercer element. purely worked ok..... I spent tones on time and money on the partitions.... rather the main suitable element that worked the main suitable that i found, ( yet nonetheless did not artwork great) grew to become into watered down fabric softener. some million/2 water a million/2 fabric softener. Sprayed on after rolling the piercer element on the paper. Then waiting slightly then scraping........ and consistent with danger steaming the obdurate spots. i might make investments interior the softner in the previous the ironmongery keep wallpaper remover. nonetheless, if I have been to do it lower back, i might rip down the drywall and start up off over......... definite it is dramatic and all, yet I had to re-dirt almost each and all of the partitions, and re-sand and if I calculated all that factor I spent doing that it could have been lots greater low-value to re-drywall.......... consistent with danger my wallpaper have been up too long, I estimate 35-40 years...... sorry..................

I mixed up some liquid fabric softner and water... gave all 3 of my kids a wash cloth and and old drivers license/credit card... something that would fit in their hands and was rather stiff.... they each had their own bowl of the fabric softner mix and they went to town... they had a ball... its non toxic, not as hot as a steamer, and did a better job... my dad used to rent steamers and the steam would end up damaging things in the house..... Take the rag and soak it in the mix, dont ring it out too much, and soak the area... start scraping with the card.... I didnt have any problems with any of the wall or sheet rock coming off either... Good luck

Use a wall paper tiger claw, its a little red round plastic cap with a
toothed cutter underneath it . Also get some DIF wallpaper remover in a spray bottle. You can get both for under twenty bucks. Use the claw first than WAIT for ten minutes after you spray it , it will fall right off

You will get the best results from a steamer. You can also buy a scoring tool that will scratch cuts in the paper so that it absorbs the steam or water better. It can be done with a lot of scraping and patience.

Yeah, as the other guys said, use a steamer. And if it does not work at all because the wallpaper is very sticked to the wall, try to get it off with a sandpaper (a fine sandpaper so you won't scratch the wall lol). And also, if you can, try to get the electronic thing to scrape with the sandpaper, that will get it all off, I can guarantee it haha.

I have always used real hot water and vinegar to take down wall paper but the best way to take it down is not putting it up
