Well YES if you drank alot of fluid before hand it would dilut the concentration of HCG. So taking it with he 1st morning urin is best. About teh blood wrk if you have insurance then call ur OB and ask for one done. Im no one to talk bc I had my 2nd child by the age of 19 but Honey wait and go to college its a struggle being a young mom with lack of education. But i wish you the best of luck

First thing educate yourself. Drinking lots of liquids will not "dilute" a pregnancy test. If the test said negative you are more than likely not pregnant because it would show up by then. However do to human error there is a possibility that you could still be pregnant. Take another test using your first morning urine. If it is still negative set up an appt with your doctor it could be simply the test is giving wrong results or something more serious. Good Luck either way!

Just take another test in the morning, but make sure you do it correctly. After you get a positive from home, then go finalize it with the doctor. I dont think drinking alot of water before you took the test had any effect on the test..you may have done it wrong. Just try again. Good luck.

I think that you should do what ever YOU think will put your mind your mind at rest, whether that is using a home pregnancy test first thing in the morning, or going to get a blood test, you decide.
Since you suggested these options yourself, it looks like you are pretty sensible woman with a good head on her shoulders, and if you are pregnant, I wish you and your fiance all the best for the future. Good luck sweetie, I hope you are blessed with that which you desire :)

Take home pregnancy tests first thing in the morning, that's a good rule to follow. Even if you get a positive from a HPT, I'd still go in for a blood test just to be sure.

No, blood tests are as accurate as HPT's, they both detect low amounts of hcg about 20 units. You may not be a 14-16 yo however you type like one! I am tired of people who do not know how to spell. Anyway, if you are about 6 weeks late and your test said negative I would trust it 100%, now a days HPT's can detect pregnancy 4 days before you even miss your period, what I would do now is I would not have unprotected sex, God knows what kind of a mother you would be!

It does advise on the test instructions to use the test first thing in the morning so I'd take it again then just to make sure. Best of luck for whatever you want the result to be

Did you say your last period was in July?...You could very well be pregnant. Drinking a beverage shouldn't alter your test results. Take another test and go see a doctor.

I would deffintly take the other test in the morning, never rely on just one. Also, make sure there not cheap tests either. I would also see doctor he will take a test for you too.
Good luck!

Well my doc told me the best time to try is first thing in the morning so maybe try that, then if it still says negative get a blood test.
Good luck :)
