Besides it being a biased question. I'd rather listen to Rock than Rap anyday. Unless I feel like freestyling. Yeah, I'm a metalhead and I freestyle. No, dude, I listen to Lamb Of God, Slipknot, Children of Bodom, Slayer, Metallica, Iron Maiden, All of Avenged Sevenfold, Hawthorne Heights. And I freestyle. It helps with poetry another one of my hobbies. But rap is just nothing these days. It's smiled upon by MTV even though they have messages far worse than "Hail Satan!", do you think saying the words "Pop a Nine in the N*gga's Chest" is better than "Hail Satan" on "Stairway To Heaven"? I didn't think so. It's just that when rich kids say "Fo'Shizzle" cuz of Snoop Dogg, MTV gets another more ratings. People like Bling. Hell, even M. Shadows from A7X has grills. But that's not the point. MTV plays music for the smiling masses of preteens who smile upon the idea of the 'hood. I've been to West Philadelphia a few times and when 50 Cent says "The hood be poppin' " there isn't one person "Poppin' ". A false idea of a ghetto is wrong. I rest my case.

Rap because Rock has heavy bass that gives me headaches and rock groups also like to scream as well.

I'd prefer rock for anything but a party. It actually takes talent. Very few rap artists have any, although there are some.

Definitely rock, with the exception of my son David's CDs. He is only 17 but has recorded four rap CDs, so of course I love listening to them, I love his lyrics. I like a lot of Eminem, too.

Hey, I guess you don't like rap. I don't care for too much of it either, unless I'm clubbing. I cant club to rock, so I have to say rap.
