Am I the only one that remember when Jordans were so popular that every kid had to have them? Okay I'm 28 and I remember in high school between 10-13 years ago all the kids in my school was crazy about Jordans, now fast forward years later, i'm seeing teenager that are paying the same prices for the exact same shoes the kids in my school wore years ago. But these kids were so young they probably don't remember the shoes, so they go out buying these shoes and they believe the shoes just came out. My 7 y/o son wanted the "new Jordans" and I told him that those shoes aren't new. I feel like I'm in a time warp, but maybe the shoes are cheaper now but I remember in high school kids were paying $120.00 and probably more for the shoes I see the kids today wearing. I hardly ever see people my age with them because they know the shoes aren't new. I've also seen people wearing the Jordans that came out back when I was about 10 y/o, why are parents spending money on "old shoes". What a rip off.

...and I'm not saying that parents should by new jordans I'm just wondering why they spend so much money on old shoes. These shoes are the exact style same color and everything. Like one poster said they could do something better with their money like an education. I know Mike is sitting back counting his riches that he collects from 14 y/o shoes.

Buy the kid a $30 pair of shoes and put the other $90 you would have spent on the Jordans into the College Fund. He'll thank you later.

Jordans are quality shoes. Good for playin ball. Plus Jordan comes out with a new shoe every year. I believe this year was Jordan XXI.
Just because Jordans are "old" doesn't mean they aren't good shoes. Or stylish. Bell bottoms were hip in the 70's and the whole long shirt with a belt over the top were cool in the 80's, doesn't mean they aren't "in style" now.

Two reasons:

#1 - The parents don't know and don't care about the new jordans and #2 - they're too expensive

Because somethings need to just roll over and die.

Otherwise, I'd still be tight rolling my pants.
