OatesATM, all of that is very possible. I am no great fan of Bush, but Bill did not thrill me either. All I can say is that I was doing much better during the Clinton years.

Lady D, yes, governments lie. We have seen that far too often, but the consparacy theory would have us believe that the Bush admin murdered 3,000+ people. If ture thne that is treason and you don't just say, "Oh well, next election...." It is one of the reasons that I am skeptical of the consparcy theories. The lack of a call for drastic action.

I have seen the site, however we have plenty of proof the government does lie. The Downing street memo clearly states that Bush wanted war with Iraq BEFORE 9/11. While I do not believe our government took any active role in causing the attack or subsequent damage, I do believe they overlooked and ignored warnings and information that could have prevented it, including telephone warnings in the week prior (one went to Mayor Willie Brown of San Francisco) telling people that Americans needed to be cautious about where they chose to fly in the next week.

Also, a bunch of guys who want to learn to fly but dont care about learning to land should have been a hint.

Yes, the last line was a joke. Relax.

It is not that warnings were overlooked, it was that when Clinton's policies were put in place they severely limited the intelligence agancies so that nobody was able to piece together all of the warnings. Blame they lawyers under Clinton that didn't allow anything to happen.
