Specifically, I am looking for ideas to write a new play about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse for teens and pre-teens. I already have a few scripts to look at but was interested in getting more input.

i also was a judge in a drama festival were the main theme was drug and alcohol abuse. I could suggest you to use puppets as a strategy to use for preteens and children. usually drugs and alcohol plays are dark and gritty, but using puppets you can give them the message with a new approach. You can turn the drugs and alcohol into characters trying to corrupt the main character.
