It's like silk but it's thicker and heavier than silk. It's shiny when in light as well. Here is a picture of it if you can please tell me what kind of fabric this is, that would be absolutely wonderful! Thanks so much!

it does look like a satin. actually, it looks like the fabric they use for lining suit jackets, but that stuff is usually about as thin as silk. and it looks nicer than a taffeta, but who knows, it's been at least 12 years since I went out and looked at taffeta and they might have better looking stuff out now.

It looks like a really good lining material made of polyester. The kind of lining that you would use for a good suit or coat or tie.
