Maybe they wanted a hottie not a medium. But most people fear what they do not understand, and if you get them to believe you have a power which they don't, they will be afraid you might use against them. Of course, people don't like what they are afraid of. It's human nature.

People are ignorant and fear what they don't know about or have the wrong idea about things. They either don't know what it is you are or do, or they think you have voodoo dolls and put curses on people for taking too long in the grocery store lineup.
And witches have got a bad reputation over the years... only thing is most or all of the people accused of being witches since the 1600's or so... weren't. They had the misfortune (bad luck in those days) to be born with webbed toes or be a medium or being too smart or too pretty... and they were killed.

Mmmm, now you have got me curious, you claim to have had the gift for some time, i.e., a medium, who by definition, perceives more than the rest of humanity is capable of seeing, ( else those of us who remain, mere mortals not blessed with this special gift, would not need to consult those with the gift, in order to ascertain our future, ) .... and you can not see the answer...., ?and no , I am not trying to be rude, so maybe others are not rude either, just pointing out the obvious, that your gift is beyond , that which we understand, then, sadly, as with anyone that offers a ' different 'perspective on life, I, You, We, become easy targets.

I would be put off you because all the para-normal stuff is a complete load of tosh.
I'm a scientific an technology guy. Telling me that you can receive messages from beyond the grave is just complete rubbish, there is absolutely no scientific evidence for it anywhere.
You are probably aware the U.S military is spending a fortune on something called Remote Viewing. Its supposed to apply to "gifted" individuals who can "see" what's happening in other parts of the world. This was a complete con and the U.S. government will never admit to it.
As long as nobody comes to any harm in what you do and it keeps you off the streets, carry on to your hearts content.

People get scared of things they dont understand. They are probably frightened you might put a curse on them, all they hear is the "witch" part. I suffered at school because of this and still remember the hurt to this day. You can be my friend anytime!

They don't understand cuz they're not you. I have a friend who's also like that, I believe her 100 percent. However , everyone has different beliefs, and yes, people can be bastards sometimes. Try your best to ignore them. You were obviously born with a gift, it's not your fault, so put it to good use when people piss you off!! lol

I'd love to have you as a friend. Some people though are just too frightened of the unknown and will not open their minds - ignorance breeds fear.
I expect they think you sacrifice young children at full moon - or something like that.
You have a wonderful gift - and I hope you use it to help people who appreciate you.

This is still a society strongly ran by the 700 club. They will not open their minds to anything not written in the bible. Do not worry about what others think. I'd say surround yourself with like minded people, interact with many and realize not all will like you, and accept whatever good things happen to you as a blessing.
Blessed be!

I think people are often afraid of what they don't know - and each of these things can imply that you have (or can have) some kind of power over them. It is natural, particularly in a society like we have today.
The nice thing is that these people really have nothing to do with you. They are on a very different journey and (at least in America) we are all free to be what we want to be. Strengthen your protections against these minor slights and fears and walk in beauty and pride.
Peace!
