i need to write a case brief for DICKINSON v. DODDS. i just need help with one sentence procedural statement. which would have to say something like "this is an appeal of a trial court decision, or this is a trial court judgment in an action for" can someone help me finish one of those sentences?

This is an appeal of civil court decision for breach of contract:

Court of Appeal, Chancery Division, 2 Ch D 463 (1874).

DICKINSON v. DODDS

Here's the essence of the decision:

"However, it is not necessary to consider, if there had been two
binding contracts, which of them would be entitled to priority in equity, because
there is no binding contract between Dodds and Dickinson."
