Are my eyes deceiving me?

I was very uncomfortable the first time I saw a transvestite. The reason being, was because I knew nothing about them and didn't know how to react toward them. My thoughts were:
1. Do I say "hello" like I do to everyone else?
2. Wow... it's amazing how ridiculous this guy looks, his legs aren't shaved, his wig is on crooked and he has more facial hair than my dad.
3. His body doesn't look at all like a female body, it's so obvious he/she's a man.

One cannot help but stare when they see such and odd looking person that obviously isn't dressed the way they should be for their gender.

Now that I'm older and have learned a little about the transvestite community, I do say "hello" when I see them and I feel glad that they can express themselves in a manner that is acceptable and makes them feel better about themselves.

I have seen pictures of transvestites that look better than most women I know, their legs are shaved, their hair is beautiful, makeup is perfect, they wear stunning clothing and their voices even sound feminine. I honestly couldn't believe these women were actually men, they looked a lot better than I've ever looked and I'm a nice looking female.

I couldn't help looking at the first transvestite I ever saw. I still look at transvestites if I see one, especially the terribly obvious ones!!! :o)

I didn't feel anything, but much to my disgust my nephews who were with me thought it was hilarious to see a man in black stilettos and tights, a yellow pleated skirt with a shirt and tie sporting a moustache, I gave my nephews who were very young at the time a ticking off and told them it wasn't something to be laughed at or to be so damned ignorant about either, I felt sorry for the guy, I think he was just testing the water, he looked rather silly, jumped back into his car and sped off looking totally embarrassed, I wouldn't laugh at anyone in that position, they can't help what they are.

Surprised but not disgusted or offended in anyway.

Everyones got things about them that others could take the opportunity to ridicule but I've got respect for them because they dont hide theirs and they ignore people who think like the majority of the posts on here.

This isnt the playground anymore and it's not nice to make fun of people. We're all just people.

I was in newquay, cornwall, and you see this all the time! At first its funny then it just gets like 'whatever' buts whats really strange is the vast majority of these tv's werent even gay just out on stag nights, few things are funnier to see than men dressed as women. but those that look really convincing are freaky! I see many butch women to, they are invariably lesbian with really fit girlfriends, whats going on?

I got that embarrassed, with that not sure what to do or say feeling.

She (formally a he of course) was a well known character in our town. Sadly for her though she did look very masculine and so attracted a lot of attention.

shocked. i couldn't close my mouth. there was not a single part of her/him that looked like a man and all she had on were Two Ivy leaves on her breasts and one down stairs. i could not tell the difference between her and a model off the street. Beautiful
