Is it a primate issue?

The people on here are right, but they are also forgetting the fact that orangutans have very long breeding cycles. From memory, orangutans don't leave their mother until they are about eight years old! Put that together with the hunting for fur over a couple of hundreds of years, habitat destuction, and you have a very endangered species.

It's really sad :(

It is a HUMAN issue...we are destroying their habitat!! They have no where left to live! Most species that are on the brink of extinction are so due to habitat loss.
