Is it just because Bush approved of Israel's actions that the Democrats turned on their long term allies?

See the link below to remind yourselves that Democrats have always been among the most ardent supporters of Israel.

So to make a political point they treat their allies like this? Will this alienate the Jewish vote, one of the long time staples of the Democratic party?

A few details because people seem to get lost assuming they know my political views.

I am a reformed democrat (actually I'm still registered as such). I am not a republican, I tend to support more libertarian views which tend to align more with some of the core republican beliefs.

I am conservative in my economic views but a firm moderate in other arenas. I truly vote issues and point out faulty thinking on both sides of the aisle.

For Real Jesi? Nobody cares about issues except if the issues effects the following:

1. May increase votes to get into office

2. May increase popularity poll helping reelection or special interest for after office employment

3. Secret standard in order to preserve the economy. If this is not done 1 and 2 are in jeopardy.

For the record, I am more Republican than Democrat.

They FEEL SORRY for the underdog - it's a knee-jerk reaction over which they have NO control.

So, when Israel was perceived (by them) to be the underdog they felt strongly (there they go FEEELLING again - boy, do they FEEL!) that the Israelis were worthy of our respect and support.

Somewhere along the way they decided that the poor Palestinians were the underdog and they shifted their misbegotten emotions onto the Palestinians.

The real problem of the Weak Sisters is that they have no moral compass. They live in a gray world where there is no right and wrong - EVERYTHING is relative. It's a fantasy world, of course, but they cling to it like an overboard passenger clings to a life preserver out in the ocean. They're totally lost and it's sad.

It just couldn't be that anyone could have the moral conviction to not support Israeli bad decisions and bad conduct? Just as Bush must be held accountable for his ineptitude. That's what democracy is.

A better question would be when is our Allie going to settle this Palestinian issue to take some of the heat from our a s ses?

No they will come up with some plausible explanation.
They always do & fool the special groups.
They were supporters, but they can not agree with President Bush on any issue since the elections are a little over a year away. They know it will play ugly on TV ads.

That a really good question that I have been wondering about a long time. Why do Jewish people vote Democrat when the Democrats are never on their side? I am at a total loss to intelligently answer your question.

Dems are showing their anti Jewish bias more than ever now because Europe is so heavily anti-Israel. The Dems would do ANYTHING to try to get the Europeans to like them...

Whats the real issue here?

is it that anyone in the government can be full of "it" and turn at the drop of a hat, or that Israel cant keep the politicians happy.

I think that it doesnt matter whose on whose side. When it comes down to it, this is a war on terror and no one is going to stop it from happening, vote for Israel, or vote for Lebanon, in the end vote for life, and prosperity and the end of terrorism.

-Just one from Israel

How can Americans Forget to uphold and defend the Constitution that keeps us all free. Your Fuhrer has done everything in his power to weaken the Constitution. This isn't about republican and democrat its about Americans for freedom against Fascists. I don't think we should support any country that is racist that requires your mother to be a Jew to be a citizen, the Nazis did that except against Jews.Racism is Racism and its EVIL. Or places people into camps steals there homes and farms and calls them terrorists the Nazis did that too. There are lots of Jews who are against Israel they are against Zionism because it is racist and the Zionist are doing what the Nazis did to the Palestinians. When the Israelis stop acting like Nazis ill be glad to pay for there free meal other wise they can go **** themselves. Not Jews I love Jews its the Nazi Jews I hate along with the KKK and the Nazis and every other racist organization or country.
