Or is it only that way for people who are not what most consider normal, i.e., autistics, dramatic folks, thrill seekers?

Then why don't people believe the truth...why does it sound so incredulous when it is told? Had one person ask me to write a novel based upon my last question.

I love this question and thank you for asking. I hope a lot of answerers weigh-in with their opinions or experiences. I believe truth is often stranger than fiction. I have seen it impact others and myself. So it plays out in the lives of so many different backgrounds.
Before I realized this, sometime ago, I used to be fascinated in other peoples stories. Mostly because, when I was young I thought my life was very predictable.
But one day, then the next with in one year, we lost three individuals of two generations in my family. Things changed. I didn't know then that that was the beginning of strange life lessons and that all sorts of things happen to us.

It doesn't matter if someone believes you or not. That's when you can consider it your personal observation of life.
Sometimes people don't appreciate your insights and also they don't value the day to day meanings or ironies in life. Sometimes they follow what they are told are the realities of life. They don't KNOW things for themselves or what is true and don't think much about the things that happen in their own lives.
Allow them their ways.

Is there really a difference? Most fiction eventually becomes truth. And even the strangest things that some people think are fiction are believed to be true by other people.

No it is for eveyone. That quote has been applied ot scientific breakthoughs more than anything else.
Compuiter sused ot be sciencefiction but now the real deal is more strange than the old sci-fi writers ever dreamed of.
Author C. Clark of britian is the reason no one owns the rigths to satelites, or satelite tv,. He wrote about it and invented the ideas decades ago when no one dreamed of them. He turned down patents on most ideas our space industry and internet companies use now and made them availabnle for everyone. so fiction beocme reality and fact is bigge rthan fiction : OFTEN"

I read your last question and I think that the person might have been being sarcastic.....he sounded more like he was talking about how long your question was.
But you are right, in my life the truth is always more strange than the fiction I read.

Because with the truth you either see something actually outrageous occur...and/or you get to see the aftermath and ramifications of said truth. In the movies the world can get blown to pieces and the screen fades away with the Hero overlooking in a spaceship with his lady-love. Story ends....and you don't get to see "the rest of the story".

Because truth is more puzzling.
If it's true, and you know it's true, but you can't put the pieces together, no matter how you try, then it becomes strange.
If it's fiction, and you know it's fiction, and you can't put the pieces together , no matter how you try, then you just drop it.
