Ok I loved Dallas too and I can't argue with that but I feel STAR TREK The original was the best of the best for now and all time simply because it was ahead of its time and captured the spirit of hope for the future we have seem to lost since that time 40 years ago that show offered so many social comentaries and entertained and educated at the same time it fired the imagination and showed us the way we need to be and offered the hope that yes one day we can achieve that in the future So my Vote is for Star Trek!!!!!!!

That's a matter of opinion, I suppose.
Dallas wouldn't even make my list - never liked it.
Some shows like All in the Family and M*A*S*H were extremely popular and ground-breaking.
Others are purely entertainment. I like shows that are a little dark and twisted, with clever writing and interesting characters.
