Jackass from Beck. The album was released in 96, but the song and video debuted 97. Everlong by the Foo Fighters is also a great song.

Bad Religion (my favourite band) released a live album in 1997, unfortunately all the good tracks were previously released, so they don't count. :( But... the Ataris (my next favourite) released their first album in that year as well! So, yeah... "Hey Kid" by the Ataris would be my choice.
