I still recall "the worst looking teeth" when I was vacationing in Europe, in 1978.
The (well into his 60's?) gentleman at the Schiphol was at the restaurant asking for a lunch. His "smile" was quite "unimpressive" as he summoned the waitress. - His odour was most unappealing, but the (noticed) brown look of his tongue gave me such a queasy feeling that I chose to avoid sitting anywhere near him. LUCKILY, my family showed up soon thereafter to pick me up.

I used to work in a jail in a county where meth usage was epidemic. I would frequently see what called "summer" teeth (Some are there; some aren't). I saw all sorts of decaying, discolored teeth, but more often we had folks missing most, if not all of their teeth. At first I was pretty repulsed, but as with anything, if you see it often enough the shock wears off.

This guy on my old ship used to have this green moldy stuff along his gums. We used to mess with him about it all the time, saying things like, "hey, Petty Officer Butler, you get free dental in the Navy right?"...he would reply "yeah", to which we'd reply, "then f*cking use it!". But seriously it was nasty.
