Liberals need to prove that not all Muslims are bad people as if the rest of us don't know this. Still, those who attacked us did so because of their fundamentalist Islamic ideas. I don't think liberals can handle two things together like that.

I agree that far too many of the so called moderate Islamics are not speaking out against the radicals. There must be a reason for this....maybe it's fear, but then maybe some of them agree on a certain level.
It seems that it isn't OK to offend anyone anymore, except Christians and Jews.....in that order.

For the military-industrial complex to function, there's a need for creating an enemy to justify transference of funding to corporations associated with the military. Now that the Soviet has gone, the vacuum is filled by Islam, and in this case ZioNazis are very much behind demonizing Muslims and Islam. The so-called axis of evil and Islamic fascism, etc. are mainly created by Zionists and propagated in the West. There's also the interest in oil and wealth of the mainly muslim Middle East. Now idiots, especially in U.S. which seems to lack the most political and social literacy relative to the rest of the Western world, feel they're being patriotic by rejecting Islam. Usually things don't just become politically correct. Political correctness is cultivated to serve a purpose. The idiotic section of the population ends up not seeing the track record of let's say mass massacre and terrorism by Israel, but Islam and Muslims become fascists! I won't be surprised if over 95% of the same idiots who associate Islam with fascism would take up arms and do a lot more if Texas or Florida, or somewhere like that was given to Jews.

well, you have pointed out one thing....its seems ok to trash christianity but not other religions. Mel Gibson ripped for dogging Jews while he was drunk is one example. Political correctness sounds like just what it is.... sucking up votes from anyone who isnt white anglo saxon protestant male. The only person left in the world who can be trashed with no reprecussions..the white male. It's a manifestation of the indoctrination that's been going on in this country for 40 years now. The technical term for this particular PC behavior is 'cultural relativism' - this is the truly wacky idea that all people, points of view, actions, etc. are somehow "equal" in terms of their "worthiness of respect".
This idea is, of course, naive, childish, and insane on the face of it and if these Weak Sisters didn't have the rest of us looking out for them they would be in deep doo-doo indeed!

I know that this board is supposed to be fun but I get sick of ridiculous questions like this. One more time. ISLAM DID NOT ATTACK US! The people who attacked us, Osama and the rest, attacked us using as their justification a twisted interpretation of Islam. That's not the same as saying Islam attacked us and you have no reason to hammer 99.9% or more of the Muslims in the world. The reason I get so passionate about this is I have family and friends who are Muslim and live in Muslim countries and they have never attacked anybody. It would never occur to them to do that or support anyone who did.

because criticizing ideas as if they attacked us is pointless. rejecting islam allows people to pretend that some ideas are so evil that they must be stamped out because they are dangerous. i reject that because as a human being i am responsible for my own behavior.
ideas do not kill people: implementation is all i can comment on. if you let your idea out of your head... you are responsible for weathering the "political correctness". stop being such a weenie and stand up for your opinions if you think they're so great.
