What is kbd.exe, every time i turn on my computer it says it not responding?

i didnt download it, its been on my computer as long as ive had it, so its not a virus or anyhing, im just wondering wat it is and whether it will affect me in any way

I recommend you use ProcessLibrary website to search unknow processes running on your computer. (http://www.processlibrary.com/) This is what ProcessLibrary had to say about kbd.exe

"kbd.exe is a process from Logitech which allows you to configure the additional keys on their multimedia keyboard products. This is a non-essential process. Disabling or enabling it is down to user preference."

Now, in order to remove the message go to Start menu > Run > type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) > select the "Startup" tab > find the startup program associated with kbd.exe and uncheck it. (Hint: the program probably begins with "kbd..." > [Apply] > [Reboot].

Im not sure what exactly kbd.exe is, but most things ending in .exe are viruses. i say, if you find what it is, get rid of it. Whenever i downloaded anything that ended in .exe it crashed my computer and it took days until i could axcess internet again..
