If we were to force democracy on Mexico and "reform" their system to be like us, wouldn't that help eliminate the illegal alien sitution?
They have oil that we can steal, just like Iraq and our troops could still come home for the weekends.
I say, screw Iraq.....liberate Mexico!!!!

Excellent idea on the surface of it. It fails on just the two points actually:
a) Mexico today has a healthier, better functioning and probably less corrupt democracy than you do in the United States. (they don't allow PACs for example)
b) The Mexican Army is the second most efficient and able in the entire Americas (only US is better). It is one of the best trained and equipped in the world and has concentrated on very efficient, low cost and wickedly effective defensive weaponry. If you guys can't handle the Iraqis, the Mexicans are going to have a piñata bashing party on yer arses........
(if I were you guys, I'd stick to France........)

Mexico is a democracy in the first place. Second, it does not have the oil reserves Iraq does. Finally, if we (the government) really wanted to keep the illegals out we would. We don't want to. I would like to see out men and women come home though.

Except Mexico doesn't have a "convert or die" policy.
I'm all for Annexing... I mean "Liberating" Mexico. They have an abundance of resources, Minerals, workforce, airable land. The only thing holding them back from being a world power is corruption.
While were at it I want Canada too. I've had enough of their smarmy Maple abundance...When can we get in on that. I am always running out of syrup and fire wood.
I would be willing to learn french and spanish if it would help the cause. I already speak bad spanglish....

And they have great beer and beaches. And what the heck while we are at it, we can do Canada also. But on the way back can we invade france also, they always give up so easy that should only take a day or two.
