i have a rat and they make really good pets

to that first chick wild rats and domestic rats are TOTALLY different!
i love rats i get a pair in 2 semesters! i cant wait!
but they are lovely creatures
they are cute,smart,fun, all around perfect pets they have as much personalilty as a dog or cat!
they just dont thave long lives....*cries* but its tottaly worth it for the moments you have with them!

Rats are only a real problem in the natural world because they get into trash and similar germridden places. But if you get it as a pet and keep it away from the trash and other germridden places, it is as fine as any other animal (like dogs or cats, etc.). And they are supposed to be rather intelligent as well.

Rats are getting more popular now then years a go.i have to pet rats and the kid love them. so go down to your pet shop and ask to hold one u don't no what you are missing go on then what are you waiting for

They are great pets and are really clever. They are also really social animals and like to be with you and will choose to be with you. If you don't have much time get more than one as they need company but if you have lots of time just get one as then they will bond with you and want to spend time with you. Get a really young one and handle it lots when it's young. They like to sit in pockets and on your shoulder so you can take them around with you easily. I would also choose a girl as they don't smell as much as boys, or have the boy castrated.

rats are accualy really good pets, some of my friends had them, i like them exept for that tail eeewwwwww, but if u get past that then they can be fun and lovable

Rats are awesome pets. Way better than hamsters, gerbils, and mice.
They are less prone to biting, easier for children to handle, less jumpy, and they are TRAINABLE!!
