How is Barry any bigger a jerk than Roger Clemens?

When did Barry walk away from a playoff game in a hissyfit when his team needed him like Roger did in Oakland for the BoSox?

How many Cy Young awards has Roger won? 7... same as the number of MVP awards as Barry.

When did Barry ever get into a fight on the field?
When did Barry ever throw equipment at someone? You know... like a broken bat.

So, Barry has a special chair in the locker room... is that REALLY worse than a guy that won't join his "team mates" on road trips?

When did Roger give a team mate a top of the line new car just for some friendly locker room banter?

Plenty of sprorts writers have written about the arrogance of Roger Clemens... but the public in general.

If you're a Barry hater... why? and Why not Roger?

Is it really just a reflection of your racisim?

There is as much PROOF that Roger did steroids as their is proof that Barry did. Look and you will find the whispers of Roger's physical prowess.

OR... is it possible that both men are supremely talented, and top notch competitors?

Besides the steroids issue (which, despite your assertion, the evidence does tend to indicate that Bonds did; Clemens has never been seriously linked to use of illegal performance-enhancing drugs), there really isn't much reason. Clemens does appear to have mellowed a bit over the last few years, though, while Bonds has continued pretty much as he always has.

As an avid Barry-hater AND a Roger-hater I think you pose a good point. I truly don't believe its a matter of race. (I'm white if you were curious.) How many records has Clemens broke? How many of those records were broken under speculation of steroid use? Its become apparent that cheating is the worst offense in baseball. Nobody in the media seems to care that Roger Clemens is after one thing: A World Series ring. One might assume that would be the goal of the ultimate team player. Not when you are too good for away games, spring training, and oh yeah: 2/3 of the season. In my mind Bonds and Clemens are two of the problems that baseball has. A cheater and one that seems to think hes above the game will always be bad. And yes there is no doubt in my mind that Bonds used steroids.

Good point about Roger. Many don't recall that in the 1986 World Series Roger complained all the time about the mound in Shea Stadium how he couldn't pitch on the mound.

Never heard the other Red Sox pitchers complain about the mound now did ya?

Never really cared for Roger much , And now he travel with the team if he isn't playing. Takes his own jet to watch his kids play ball , which btw is fine family is important .

I think Rogers ego is overblown.

As for Barry Bonds. Never thought about his till all this stuff came about the steriods.

For my money i like Ken Griffey Jr. Simply does his job and stayed with the Reds so his kids could go to a good school and etc.

Classy guy that Ken Griffey Jr.

Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens are bad. They Both do things that make people upset. Barry took steraiods and thats a big thing in baseball, bigger than doing the things that Roger Clemens does

Sure be a lemming and drop the race card all over the pay like skin color really matters. Has Roger used steroids? Opps, forgot that one didn't you. Race, that's all people want to do is keep America at its own throat. Race, Hank Aaron is black, so how can yousay Bonds haters are racist? Roger isn't perfect, he's had his moments. Barry just isn't a sweet lovable guy. Some of his statements to the pres over the years have been, to say the least, chilly. So, your argument is flawed, your comparison if flawed. Bond doesn't have 30 more hrs in him and it is tearing you up.

I have disliked the public persona of Barry Bonds for much longer than the current steroids issue.

Back during one of the stoppages (lock out or strike, I do not remember) Bonds attempted to get the child support he paid stopped by the courts because he was not earning at that time. I figure that he made millions of dollars and that should allow him to continue to take care of his child. At that time I was in the Air Force taking care of a family earning in a year less than a game check for Mr. Bonds. I lost all respect for him as a man at that time. Great ballplayer yes; respectable man----no.

My friend, "whispers" are not proof. There is to date no "proof" Clemens took or takes steroids. Bonds did and lied about it to boot. Personally, I think Clemens is a jerk and is in love with himself and only him self!! I have panned him a lot on this site. He is a great player, but a failure as a person.

Chow!!

My own oppinion is that if Roger and Barry get in it can be a shame. They broke rules and cheated. what variety of message does this deliver the infants? in the event that they get in permit Pete in. particular he took a life-time ban yet he in no way cheated? i'm particular i gets a pair thumbs down for that yet what's the version? Roger and Barry lied approximately cheating, Pete lied approximately playing. additionally he in no way did that as a participant, basically as a coach. I additionally think of that if this comes back and congress costs Roger then the MLB might desire to take all of his CY youthful awards back, and that i think of the MLB might desire to additionally take the homerun checklist back
