Is it possible to break suggest if you don't know the intial command. If you area aware of some of the behavioral triggers how does one work on stoping the response.
Is giving people commands in the normal nightly sleep effective?
Any ideas why a skilled hypnotist can or would not be able make a person aware of the commands, who and how they were given even if it was in normal sleep time?

Please be serious.........treat it as a life or death situatition!

Additional Details

Keep in mind that some of them might have been active for over 5 years now and was a means to get someone act counter previous choices . In all likely done while sleeping when the conscious mind is not active to resist.

Actions counter suggestions, so if you can figure out what the suggestions were and deliberately act in the opposite way over a period of twenty-one days, consistently, you will change the thought patterns.

Possibly go back to the hypnotist or another one & get it undone or replace the suggestions with othe ones. I would think that suggestions made during sleep would not be effective as there are different stages of sleep. It needs to be done on a subconscious level while the conscious is possibly also aware but in the background. I have no idea really but i'd be interested to know what you find out. Good luck

Reggie Q is talking sense. Acting wilfully in a new way will create and reinforce a new mental program in the direction you are wanting to go. You might also consider using your conscious mind to affirm the opposing quality or choice you want to create, using only positive words. It will take both awareness and persistence...... and hopefully you will find these in you if you want the result strongly.

Another idea occurs to me... if you want to try it? When you have chosen the change you want to make, how would it be with you to selectively tell your friends - I mean, those friends who will encourage you in your choice and be compassionate if you fall short (not those who will question your choice, undermine your self-belief, or judge you if you fail)?

Yet another thought. If your desired change can be broken down into small steps, it can be encouraging to the process to aim for a modest target first and then build on that towards the next one -- like cutting chocolate down to two biscuits a day for half a year and then to two a week for another while before cutting it out.

Hypnotic suggestions are like everything else, they have a shelve life and they wear off. Even if you thin you've been hypnotised without your knowledge, There is a finite time limit on such hypnosis. You may subconsciously pick it up like you detect a virus and you will subconsciously fight it till it is either suppressed or eradicated. Enjoy!
