This question is on behalf of one of my buddies. He has been worrying about something one of his friends said yesterday: He was talking to a girl who is close friend of his. She was telling him how she knows this other chick "who is gay but she doesnt know it..." Now what my friend thinks is that she was implying that he was gay and he doesnt know it. She knows he loves women and has a gf. Can she still be implying that she thinks my friend is gay or she was just genuinely talking about the gay chick? Thanks.

Impossible to answer since I wasn't there and couldn't hear the intonations and see the facial impressions and body language.
So I would just like to say at this point that he is just being too sensitive about how people perceive him and she only meant what she said.

It can go both ways. If the male acts like a female or has been told before he was gay. Then yes it was towards him. If not she could of been simplying implying to a gay female. Depends on the male's personality.

If she knows that your friend loves women and has a girlfriend, why would she imply that your friend is gay. That's a wrong assumption. To assume makes an as% out of you and me.

You know how I automatically know a guy is asking this question, because only a man would read in SO MUCH into such a simple comment!

Whaaat? No... I think if he knows he isn't gay, why is this question even arising? Or is he having "insecurities"?

Woah, tell your friend to calm down. Even if this girl WAS intimating he was gay, WHO CARES?? He sounds like he is homophobic.

It doesnt sound to me like she was talking about him anyway.

read her lips and believe what she says, quit trying to read her mind and assume she means something different
You know what assume means don't you - makes "u" look like an "***" ro "me"
