My first guess would be a story about a woman (probably teenager but not necessarily) who feels guilty betraying her friend and that this would be a story of her coming to terms with it (either accepting it and continuing anyway, or more likely learning losing the friendship isn't worth it and leaving).

My second guess is it is a story in which a woman again goes back in her memory to how she met her friend and later the ex and eventually becomes friends with the ex (while he is still the current boyfriend) and how she didn't realize it until her friend broke up with the ex. Then she realizes she wants to be there for her new friend (the ex).

My third guess might be a story of a lesbian who took the girl away from the boyfriend and now the woman and the ex are working things out about how they'll deal with each other after such a hurt caused.

Any one of these would be a good story if done correctly I think.

Hmmmmm... let's see "I had Lunch with my Girlfreinds Ex-Boyfriend"... what could it be about. Well, it could be about several things...
1. A love affair
2. A psychotic ex-boyfriend
3. A murder mystery

By the title, it's anyone's guess. Now I ask you, what is this book about?

Painful chick-lit that's nothing more than a string of barely-understood cliches with a pathetically applied coat of sunshine gloss, made all the worse by an undercoat of self-indulgent teenage-style angst. I'd be ashamed someone had published it.

The importance of using SpellCheck? Oh, no, wait... this is like Lynne Truss's books "Eats Shoots and Leaves" right?

After I got past the author's inability to spell, I would think that it is a typical teenage novel about backstabbing b!tchy girls.
