it should be -1 point for every misspelled word. Then, everybody would spell correctly. In this way the lazy people will spell right and those who speak English as a second language will learn to spell properly.

No. People are just asking questions here...and as long as we can read them so what. You do not know their circumstances, are they new to this country, do they have a learning disability, or do they need to get the question out in a hurry? We should be thinking of the question and an answer instead of worring about spelling!!!

Those are some good ones, but talking the world into using their spell check....isn't very likely!! Some people are gonna misspell no matter what...

An occasional typo is one thing. Looking at this site makes me think we've got a He** of a lot of illiterates around here! The grammar is horrendous also.

When it really bothers me, I take a step back and regroup.
Maybe they are so excited to ask their question they don't pay attention to their spelling or their grammar. Not a good excuse but plausible.
Then when it makes me crazy again I sign off for awhile. LOL

Nah, it would make this thing less fun. Not caring how you spell even when there's a spell check points to the type of people they are.

LOL - Great Question!!!
Its the combination of illiterate grammar and bad spelling that either infuriates me or amuses me, depending on my mood.

Oh come on! Get off your high horse! This question comes up about every two weeks, and you should be able to figure out that some folks are trying to post before a bunch of other people do, and typos are just part of the game. We arent here for the grades. If you cant deal with it then buzz off! Brown noser teachers pet!

I like the misspelled words myself. It doesn't bother me at all. but I have other things to worry about. I didn't use spell check, but if you had you would have found that spellcheck is actually 2 words
