I'm disappointed coach Donadoni choose a 4-4-2 tactic with Perrotta switching between midfield and attack. I think having Marchionni instead of Perrotta and playing a real 4-3-3 Italy should be more offensive - and efficient. Anyway, Lithuanian goal happens besides tactics. Now Italy get a draw and seems well playing. My bet is Italy will win with a good (NOT great) 3-1. What do you think?

OK, it's 15' now and Italy had 2 scoring opportunitiea against 1 for Lithuania... it seens Marchionni could replace De Rossi. Let's see

R05 - good point. I always say Italy is poor pemorming against lesser team. now fitness is involved too.

Well it's gone. Now they need to forget it, avoiding to be shocked. The mistake is highly damaging - France and Ukraine will sure win Lithuania, especially when playing as hosts.
Identify the major issues in Italy's match isn't so easy. They were not at their best performance, Lithuania had a good match. But I haven't see the feared fitness troubles, as predicted before the game. I was uncertain about Barzagli, he was good. Cassano was between the best ones, Inzaghi did his task. According to Danadoni - who camplained this many times during the match, defenders, midfielders and forwards were playing too far from each other. This issue worked well for Lithuanians, who only needs to fill those places to easily control the match overnumbering Italians in every field's area. Often a losing team is playing 'longer' on the field, but they maintain this attitude after draw too.
Now- they scheduled a won and a draw in those 2 match. I guess winning France is REALLY DIFFICULT NOW.

I hope your right. Lippi was my fav coach ever, we'll see how Donadoni does. They had better win, I don't think there is an excuse big enough for them to lose this one. No matter what formation they use. The Italian Junior team should be able to beat these guys.
I'm guessing 2-1.
Funny how this team scored on them when no other could in the world cup regular play.

Im VERY happy Inzaghi is the striker.. I love him he's such a great player! its about time they put Pippo on the field!
Im a bit upset about the sqaud there's ALOT of GOOD players but they need Zaccardo, Toni, Zambrotta back in there!
