If so... then do the 1989 Giants win the World Series? Who gets the 1996 NL MVP award that went to Caminitti? Since Palmiero ACTUALLY tested positive, how does that effect the Orioles, Rangers and Cubs? Who should get Canseco's MVP award?

It should be noted...

Caminitti and Canseco both ADMITTED to using steroids.

So, since Palmiero, Caminitti and Canseco are the BIG names that are in fact guilty, by proof or admission, what should baseball do about these three?

Nope. Look at Ruth. The guy never had to face a slider and pitching back then was probably the equivalence of college ball today (maybe worse). Lets also not forget that pitchers have probably been using steroids for an equally long period of time. Plus the strike zone has decreased and so has the mound which also also helps hitters today and probably accounts more for the increased homeruns. There are advantages and disadvantages in every era favoring either hitting or pitching (steroids favor neither). Steroids have tainted the game to some extent but they haven't and will never destroy the game in the way you are implying (throwing out records).

They have no way of proving if steroids were used by those guys at that time, so they can't do anything about it. The only way that they should be able to do something is if there is absolute proof that a guy is on the juice at the time that he is putting up the stats. Yeah Palmiero got busted, and all the other guys are probably guilty, but you don't know how much of their stats are natural, and how much are steroid enhanced. You can't take away MVPs or any other award though.

I'd have to answer this question no... I mean, how many records are really out there which haven't been confessed to? It's like we're penalizing the guys who are honest about it. As for the days before performance enhancers, I wonder how many players found other substances to boost their performance. I say permit the performance enhancers... afterall, I could take all the performance enhancers available and still never hit a pitch from a major league pitcher.

How can they prove any of it. That is the difficult, if not impossible part. Even a confession or bad test result doesn't prove that the steroids effected the stats. Put an asterisk in the record books that states "This Record Occurred in the Steroid Era". That should say enough.

prevailing the main worldwide series. Baseball is extra a team interest, and that i do no longer think of it is going to bypass by guy or woman honor. the only purpose a participant would desire to set to do is win worldwide series championships, no longer choose for the hit streak checklist or abode run checklist. that's extra for guy or woman valor there. yet records would desire to be broken some day. Have a great day!

It's water over the dam. Should we take away the records for everyone who ever threw a spit ball or used a nail file. That's cheating too.

The record books have become a joke.
How sad for such a great sport.
Greed and hunger for money has destroyed a lot of respect of the game.

Ban them from the game, like Pete Rose was.
