well to be honest with you the brand is not really too important. Pennzoil, Quaker State, Valvoline, and Castrol all make a high mileage oil. All of those brands are excellent. Just because they were the first ones to make it I recommend Valvoline Max-Life. It has been around the longest and if they had any bugs to work out they would have by now. The chemical breakdown of the 4 above mentioned oils is almost the same. With the exception of a few additives. Remember though that high mileage oil is for reconditioning the valve seals and not really meant to stop oil leaks. It is best to start using it before you have a sign of trouble. Preventative maintenance.

I get the Quaker State oil in the red five quart container that is for cars over 75,000 miles. I believe Valveoline also has the same high mileage oil. I buy the ones in the red containers.

With motor oil, each and all of the megastar manufacturers make an miraculous product. you fairly can not bypass incorrect with any of them. purchase even though variety you like. carry on with the viscosity the mfr recommends. As for filters, the OEM variety is often terrific yet many of the extra suited made filters from Fram (hard safeguard, extra safeguard) are stable, as are Purolater, Bosch, AC Delco, and others. many of the cheap filters are made with the help of the comparable few businesses so no genuine diffs. The cheapo orange can Fram at the instant are not that great, the two. Spend $5-8 on a stable filter out.
