I'd hate to see all of the recessive eye and hair colors go away.
FYI, having everyone be the same color never prevented any war that I know of. Check your African, Asian and European history.

It would be nice. My boys are multi-racial. One looks a little more Asian like his dad. The other I'm not sure. He's got a more Caucasian looking face but his hair is definitely spikey black Asian. But he got these killer long eyelashes, which came from my family (but I don't have them! LOL) Very unique look.
I know a woman (blond) who married a half-Japanese guy. The first two kids were blond and brown eyed. The third picked up more of their dad's traits. However, it is possible that the blue eyes will come back if they have kids with someone with blue eyes since they are also carrying their mom's recessive gene. Same thing with my boys--both brown eyed but somewhere in the gene mix are some of my recessive traits. So what you stated about recessive genes I think is wrong. They'll be floating around out there and they'll come back when mixed with other recessive traits. Genetics are a weird and random thing.
what drshorty said about race is somewhat true--in countries such as Brazil where mixed races are already quite common, they already see where lighter skinned mixed are seen with favor. My sis-in-law is Taiwanese-Caucasian mixed. She looks more white. Her brother is Asian looking and had a lot of issues growing up (teasing, etc.)

Scientifically speaking, interracial offspring are the strongest being that you are combining the strongest of their genes. If we stick too much to just one race, then you end up with a problem like the cheetahs are having -- where the genes are so similar that one disease could wipe them off the face of the earth.
Will there become one race? I doubt it very much. The world's population is growing at an expontential rate and the number of interracial babies being born is actual pretty small when you take into consideration the almost 7 BILLION people that inhabit the planet Earth.
Interesting dream though. Wonder what it really means..... ;)

I think there are so many inter-racial marriages today because people have come to their senses.
In the horrible world we live in where people use 747's to kill people they have never even looked in the eye and people are dying because someone cut them off in traffic, people are getting it figured out.
If you can find anyone in this life time that truly loves, cares for and respects you, and you feel the same about them, you better hang onto that person for all you are worth. What difference does it make or should it make if that person has a different skin tone than you?
It is easier to find a needle in a hay stack than it is to find a genuine person, and if that person happens to be of a different origin, that's OK. You beat the odds, you found love.

This is true, but everyone will not look the same. Don't wory. There will always be some way for people to identify with or discrimnate against others. Take for example religion, sexual orientaion, bi-partisan politics, or something that is yet to be made up. Wish people didn't have such a need to belong.

I think that we are all mixed more than we think we are right now. Anyway, the big deal that people make about race is socially based; race exists because we want it to. It's a social construct. My guess is that even if people become more mixed in terms of blood, there will still be some way for people to try to feel superior to others. Reminds me of "The Sneetches".

I hope we remember our history and the culures of all the world. IF we didnt have green beer sushi soul music and tango the world would be pretty boring.

I don't think so. I think there would still be people who marry inside their cultural realm, but we are one race when you think about it:The Human Race. Everything else is more a social concept. There may be some genectic and physical concepts but we are all part of the human race.

Funny thought indeed! Why not for a change. Maybe we'll have a better World then, less confrontational with one another. Be more open broad minded. Less War maybe.

Why do you think there isn't a universal race right now?
Only in your yet uninvestigated thoughts, does separation and difference exist.
A little girl, upon seeing an image of the Earth taken from outer space for the first time, said; "Look Mommy, there are no lines!"
