i hit a guy today because he was in a line waiting to be seen by the ticket man at the train station but he got to impatient with a woman who was in frount of him. she was getting tickets for her and her kids. the man was in a hurry and for some reason got angry so he pushed in front. she said do u mind. so out of no where he slapped the woman in the face.
i see this and i just lost it . i hit him then shouted "dont ever hit woman".
at that point i asked the woman if she was ok. then walked away becuase if i stayed i probs would of battered the guy.
i dont know where the guy went from then and to be honest i dont care.
i hate guys that hit woman especially for no reason!!!!
was i wrong to get involved or did i do the right thing???
what do u people think???

Oh my God I should marry you

that was cool, of course you did the right thing, he shouldnt hit that women at all, and your a very brave man and a good one,

but be careful , you dont want him following you, and these type of people are very dangous they carry knifes and weapon s that in return you could be in fatal situation, but I like you loads, you stood up for a women, a man should be like you, that was a very good thing to respect a women is most high ,

Neither you nor the other guy were right because it is wrong to assault another person, sticking up for someone is not the same as hitting someone for another. The woman should have called for the station master and got him to call the police let them deal with such an abusive ar**hole. He could have assaulted the woman after you had gone you didn't stick around to see if you had made it worse, I was in a similar situation in town and just going over can sometimes defuse the situation however it could have been made worse.

You did the right thing but should have finished the job. Those of us who can defend ourselves have an obligation to protect others who cannot. However, the justice served must fit the level of the threat. After hitting that a@#$%&#, take him to the ground, hold him down and tell someone to dial 911. I'm sure that when the police showed up, given all the witnesses to the crime the police would have hauled him away. To those who said violence brings more violence, I respect your philospophy but I can't imagine you would just stand there while you watched your child (for example) get raped.

you absolutely did the right thing!! a very wise man once said "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to stand by and do nothing". i have two sons, ages 14, and 12, and i have told them since they were old enuf to understand, that the only times it is ok to hit someone is when you are defending yourself, or someone else who cannot! i salute you sir!!

My first instinct is to jump up and yell "good for you." However the guy is no longer thinking about you at all. However his violance is hanging on to you like glue. That is why violence is never the answer.

Chivalry is not dead! You shouldn't have hit the guy either, but I agree he deserved it. Next time, try not to hit the rat when you go to a lady's aid.
