It's most likely from the musical "Cats" - and yes, it is very beautiful - and takes a very talented female singer to carry it off, too. You could probably find the soundtrack album at any CD store, or at www.amazon.com.

okay if its Memory its from Cats and if its Memories its from the way we were usually by Barbara Streisand although she has recorded both songs.

it's from the play cats.there have been at least 3 different versions of that song done.i have the dance version of the song on 12 inch but it is in storage and i can't remember who sings it.
