when i come to a stop-light and come to an almost complete stop, it tends lose rpm's and stalls on me. if i let it sit for about 30 seconds it is find and rems back up. not a problem in waiting, but what causes it? what can i do

You need a tune-up. My old Mazda used to do the same thing when it was overdue for a tune up. Also, you need to have your alternator checked. Either way, something is making your car idle too low.

your problem could be several things. What comes to mind first is a clogged or clogging fuel filter. Second, it sounds like vapor lock. Vapor lock is when the fuel lines are too close to the engine block or exhaust manifolds and they get to hot and the fuel boils in the lines causing air pockets. Once the engine sits for a while, fresh fuel cools the lines back downand the gas is forces through due to fuel pressure. If it is vapor lock, the best thing to do is move the fuel lines away from the bock or exhaust a bit or wrap them in heat reflective barier fabric.

check three things 1. M.A.P. sensor 2. T.P.I. sensor or 3.vaccum lines loose hope this helps have a great day

I think it's something in the tranny. This happened to my chevy caviler, and it cost me like 550.00 to fix! Piece of crap!!
