You can try sea bans (which can be found at any drug store), or you can ask your doctor for a pill called Diclectin which is safe for pregnant women (It has an antihisamine and vitamine B6 --- there is a web site you can look up --- just do a search for it). Unfortunatly neither of these worked for me. At least not with the nausea, although I noticed when I stopped taking the Diclectin I was throwing up more, so I think they were helping me at least in that area. Which is good because you dont want to be loosing nutrients. But nothing really helped with the nausea, except maybe not letting my stomach get empty and eating only what I craved (which luckily was fruit -- it seemed to help at least temporarily with the nausea). Good Luck! For me I felt like I was in Hell. I hope it ends soon for you!

This is the worst time period... pregnancy is wonderful- except for morning sickness (which can be all-day sickness)! You can try those sea-sickness bands that you wear on your wrist (you can get them at any drug store). Sometimes they worked, and other times they really didn't- nothing did. You can ask your doctor about the safety of over-the-counter anti-nausea stuff like Dramamine or Pepto-bismal, but don't take anything without asking your doctor first. He may even be able to prescribe you something he knows is safe. Sometimes the extreme nausea can be caused by a low amount of vitamin B6 in your body, so ask your doctor about that too. In the meantime, hard candies (like lifesavers and jolly ranchers) can help as well as ginger containing foods (like ginger snaps cookies). Avoid any foods that make you feel nauseated. For me, it was the smell of In-And-Out burgers cooking.... still can't eat them to this day, and that was 7 years ago! Good luck and congrats!

There is NO safe medicine for nausea or anything. You need to wait it out through the first trimester. That is why they call it "morning sickness". Sucking on mints helped me, or crackers, oatmeal cookies, bland foods or tic tacs. Call your DR if it is too severe with vomiting, otherwise, that is part of pregnancy and is a good sign your baby is growing well. Dont take anything, it can all harm your baby, especially in the first trimester. If you think nausea is bad, it gets better as you go along and then have labor! Enjoy the nausea!

my morning sickness has been hell on me and everyone around me too, i've been unable to work as many hours and my husband has turned into a whiny baby since i stopped cooking and cleaning as often as i used to. usually morning sickness subsides by the start of the second trimester however if you are having a hard time coping with the nausea and vomiting and the taking it easy and crackers aren't working for you talk to your ob and he\she may prescribe something for you, i have in the past with pregnancy taken compazine, currently i have a bottle of zofran and reglan in my purse the zofran worked best and is mostly prescribed for chemo or radiation patents but is very expensive. it can also make you constipated as i have found out. so if your morning sickness continues or you are unable to keep food or drink down call and make an appt immediately, and remember to drink lots of fluids to avoid dehydration

There is no oral, over the counter medicine for that. Sea-band is the best thing you can buy. It is originally for sea sickness you wear it around your wrist.(someone said something about Pepeto you can NOT take that)Ask your Dr. before you take anything.
There is a prescription your doctor can give you called zolfran.

you mustn't take any drugs devoid of consulting with your frequently used practitioner. in case you have not have been given an appointment any time quickly, you ought to call your frequently used practitioner and communicate with him/her or considered one of their nurses, they enable you to be responsive to no count if this is alright to take pills for heartburn. My heartburn is likewise very undesirable and from the very commencing up the frequently used practitioner reported i will take Tums or Milk of Magnesia (or magnesium). I underestimated the capability of Tums, yet they artwork wonders, and that they are able to additionally be used as a calcium complement in case you do not fairly like dairy like me. remember that commonly your heartburn would be so undesirable that no drugs will help, so in simple terms try to cling in there, it is going to probable pass away momentarily, yet then come back interior the final 2 months or so. good good fortune

You should just stick it out until about 16 weeks or so. It's healthy to not take anything- just snack on healthy snacks like cheese and crackers, apple with peanut butter, yogert- things like that. It will be over before you know it!!

You need to talk to your doctor. He/she will be able to prescribe a safe medication for you. Don't take anything over the counter until you check with your doctor first.
