The recommended daily amount is 24-32 oz. At that age my daughter (because her tummy was smaller) needed more feedings about 4-6 oz at a time. This is what worked for my daughter:
When she woke up she got 6 oz
Breakfast and 4 oz
After her morning nap 4 oz
Lunch and 4 oz
After her afternoon nap 6 oz
Dinner and 4 oz
Bedtime bottle 4 oz

Try offering 32 oz for a week or so and you can adjust accordingly.

She is now drinking 6-8 oz 4 times a day but she's 11.5 months old and can handle more a time. That's her and your baby may be able to handle 6-8 oz at a time.

4 bottles a day, 6 to 8 ounces at a time. That does not include baby cereal and fruits, etc.

I was told by my ped. that they should be getting twice there body weight in ounces....so if you baby is 15 pounds then he should be getting 30 ounces of formula a day. Include the amount of solids in this figure when you start feeding solids.
