It can't be too overpowering because its small and it has to match my outdated yellow orange carpet.=)

ok bonbon857 the carpet was there when i moved here and right now i don't have enough money to replace it. So when I do I'll keep your opinion in mind, not that I really care what u think

ok the carpet was probably put in in the 70s so it was really cool back then and I like it and I'm NOT changing the CARPET!!! get over it. If I wanted to change my carpet I would have asked what kind of carpet to put in. but i just want to know what color to paint my basement!

I was going to say light pastel orange, which is my favorite color so go for it, apparantly it's a match! I figure it would brighten up a small dark area =)
Add a small, yellow, super fuzzy rug and a lava lamp to the entrance for 1970's disco fun =) hehehe

I suggest a good neutral color of beige!!! Not many colors go w/yellow carpeting. NEVER PUT YELLOW W/YELLOW!!! Orange is too overbearing. You might try a very pale peach also!!!

Ok I am not sure what color to paint it, but you can go to whereever you buy paint and they have the paint cards of what colors of paint they have. Pick a few colors take them home and see which one you like the best. (To tell you what color I would have to see the carpet and the room)

personally i like turquoisey colors maybe a light blueish green .. or something? ou ou i like light purples too .. different shades. or have it be white with different color polka dots. :]
