green day(old green day like the album dookie and kerplunk or the new green day american idiot, i love both and won't go into the arguement of the entire thing cuase it's stupid) is a definate if you like blink 182, weezer, my chemical romance.... um well the best way to discover new music/bands/singers is to listen to the radio. try to find a rock/alt/punk station that you like and they'll probably have a good mix. seems like a station near me was made the perfect mix for me , haha! good luck!

I can't name any good bands from that catagory. Check out the Rx Bandits, they have an amazing singer. Also the singer from Umphrey's McGee is very good. When I want to sing in my car I put on the album "Fragile" by YES. That dude could sing anything he wanted to back in the day.

get some "old" stuff...check out Johnny Mathis. He uses his voice and usually has a great back up orchestra. Just for the heck of it...check it out.
